Volunteers play a vital role in the service we provide and to the added value it brings to the service.

WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE IN BECOMING A VOLUNTEER ADVOCATE?

Once someone has enquired about volunteering we send them our Volunteer Pack. If individuals are still interested we will invite them to the next scheduled training course or invite them for an informal chat. We usually run a training course at least twice a year, usually in September and January.

WHAT DOES THE TRAINING INVOLVE?

The training covers a broad spectrum of information with the aim of giving insight into what advocacy means and how you can support individuals.

Do you have the strength to represent others opinions as your own, not be judgmental and enable someone to take back control of their choices and life?
Then call (01772) 524469 and leave your name and contact details and someone will be in contact.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Central Advocacy is managed by a Board of Trustees who are volunteer representatives of the Voluntary/Community Sector and primary or secondary users of care services. If you feel you have the skills or knowledge to become a Trustee then please feel free to contact us for further information.
